Mad About You (s6 ep11)
This episode is hilarious. It combines mistaken intentions with slapstick humor a la Abbott & Costello. Nathan Lane plays Nathan Twilley, Jamie's old Yale professor and flame who invites Paul as a guest speaker for his film course. Before Paul and Nathan meet, Jamie lets slip the fact that Twilley was the man responsible for taking her virginity back in college. Paul is clearly jealous of Twilley and Jamie's gloating of Twilley's ability to make women orgasm just by looking at them only exacerbates the issue. At first, Nathan doesn't recognize Jamie, but once he sees her in the classroom setting his memory comes back very quickly. When Jamie informs Nathan that she has spoken to Paul about her "world premier" and "the stare" Nathan begins to act uncomfortably around them. The laughs start pouring in when Nathan goes returns to the Buchman's apartment for lunch and begins to read too deeply into their awkward behaviour.
