Frankie and Johnny (1991)Nathan Lane plays Tim, the homosexual friend and neighbor of Frankie, Michelle Pfeiffer's lead character. Tim's first scene involves a discussion with Frankie about past relationships and the need to move on in life. After providing the audience with Frankie's character flaw, Nathan's next appearance comes in the scene right before Frankie goes out with Johnny for the first time. Tim is helping Frankie get ready for a co-worker's party and ends up "scoping out" the prospect when Johnny arrives. After Frankie and Johnny hit it off they hook up and there is a short scene where Tim, while taking out the trash in the hallway, hears the two lovers in the heat of passion. Nathan's finaly two scenes involve a short character development scene in the bowling alley and a "best friend" scene when Frankie first rejects the new love in her life. Nathan Fan Rating: B |
